Recruit a friend prize draw
If you know a colleague who is not already in a union ask them to join the NUT – the largest and most effective teachers’ union. Recruit a colleague by 30 November and you’ll both be entered into the Union’s prize draw, sponsored by Aviva, to win one of two £250 Apple Store Gift Cards. They can join online or ring the joining hotlines: 0845 300 1669 / 020 7380 6369 Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Make sure they tell us you recommended them!
Current joining offers:
Join now pay nothing until 2015 – first-time members who join now on direct debit will pay nothing until 2015.
Qualifying in 2014? Including School Direct – new teachers who qualify in 2014 can get four terms full membership for just £1. When they sign-up on direct debit their 2014 membership will be free. They will pay just £1 in 2015 and get 50% off the full subscription rate in 2016.

Your current issue of The Teacher magazine is being posted to you this week and will arrive at your home address shortly. We are very conscious that some readers prefer to read the magazine online, rather than receiving a paper copy. I would like to ask members who still receive a paper copy whether they would be happy to contribute to lessening the NUT’s environmental impact by opting out and reading the digital online version instead. Should you wish to do this please click here as soon as you can and by Friday 28 March at latest, to let us know.
Please consider getting more involved in your union. Volunteer to get involved here; we would like members to help lobby politicians and leaflet parents and the public, as part of our pay, pensions and conditions campaign.
