DFE workload report finally published and shows a shocking increase in teacher workload

Dear colleagues,

The DfE finally published the 2013 Teacher Workload Survey today and it is no wonder Michael Gove wanted to keep it hidden – a copy is attached.

The dairy survey shows a shocking increase in teacher workload since he became Secretary of State – all his “freedoms and flexibilities” have done is increase working time and the amount of time spent on accountability tasks.

The publication of the report is a propaganda victory for the NUT who lead a public campaign for this via Twitter and other social media.

This will help keep the pressure on Gove coming so soon after we defeated his proposals to the STRB.

Best wishes,
