TO NUT DIVISIONS IN LONDON
This is to let you know have made arrangements for the attached letter from the six London executive members and flyers for the March 19th rally to arrive in schools just after half-term.
Locally we are getting a good response from schools to the NUT’s announcement of strike action and public campaigning.
A number of Reps have contacted us to say that they will be arranging meetings or leafleting parents after half-term; we should encourage as much of this as we can and share information so that we can build a really positive mood as we move towards the strike.
I think the pre-strike rally on March 19th is well placed to really lift things for the final week of preparation for the strike – let’s aim to fill Mander Hall with reps, members and banners, just as we did for the Reps briefing this time last year.
Finally, we are also making plans for a demonstration and rally on the strike day of March 26th and will circulate information about this in due course.
I look forward to seeing you after, what I hope will be, a restful half-term.
