Tube strikes

Workers on the tube are set to walk out again this week in a vital dispute over job cuts and the proposed closure of all ticket offices from the evening of 11 February until 13 February. Read more about it here: http://uniteresist.org/2014/01/rmt-calls-48-hour-tube-strikes/

Brixton Free School campaigning

The campaigning against the building of a free school in Brixton continues. Firstly, there is a consultation on Wednesday on whether or not a free school should be built on the site of Lambeth College in Brixton. There are two key events this week:

Consultation meeting – Does Brixton need a Free School?
Wednesday 12th February
6:30pm, Lambeth College Clapham Site

Lobby on Lambeth Council called by Lambeth Trades Council
Thursday 13th February
6:30pm, Lambeth Town Hall
