We are now 49 days before our branch officers are kicked out of the UNISON office and all facility time is removed.
Once again on behalf of our branch I would like to thank those branches who have already sent in messages of support which we have started to use in our latest video and will be using for future communications.
Keep sending them in we are going to use all the messages of support.
We have just produced a new short video ‘Sign our Petition Week Four’ here http://youtu.be/ciyhwesraBs
We could do with help promoting the video and petition on websites/face book and Twitter. If you are able publicise please send links so we can show them to our members.
We have just had a communication from Barnet Council with a revised proposal.
They have offered 3 days for the whole of the branch and are demanding we complete timesheets for what they call ad hoc requests for time off.
We have a branch meeting tomorrow and will be discussing this proposal with our members. I strongly suspect that we will not recommend acceptance of this derisory offer which seeks to undermine facility time and in effect prevent the branch from being able to respond and represent staff at a time when their terms & conditions and workplaces are experiencing massive change.
Once again many thanks for any help you are able to give on behalf of all of our members.
Lastly here is the petition https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/stop-gagging-local-unions-in-barnet-council
