Following the Principal of STEM 6 effectively reneging on last week’s written commitment to recognise the NUT, the strikes planned for today and tomorrow (and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week) will now be going ahead.
There will be picket lines tomorrow and Thursday from 7.30 till around 9.30 am. Teachers from nearby schools, especially, are very welcome to join the picket tomorrow – even if only for 10 minutes to show solidarity.
We are focusing on Thursday, however, to get a good turnout of supporters to the picket line, not least because we have been told that BBC London News hopes to get its cameras along then.
The address of STEM 6 is 263-9 City Road (between the Angel and Old Street). Come along. Bring your banners. Show your solidarity.
