Dear colleagues,
Ken Muller has asked me to send a quick note to let people that the management of STEM 6 Free School has now agreed to recognise the NUT (and other TUC affiliates) for collective bargaining and to enter into meaningful negotiations about terms and conditions at the school.
This is a very significant development and members at the school have agreed to suspend tomorrow’s strike action to allow further discussions to take place.
Last week the school wrote to the NUT refusing to meet and saying that they would have no further correspondence with us.
Ken Muller and Rakel Perez, the NUT Rep, are to be wholeheartedly congratulated both for the determination they have shown and the way in which they have conducted the dispute thus far.
