You may be aware that UNISON is running a campaign “Speak Up For Teaching Assistants” which includes a day of celebration on November 29th.
As well as aiming to highlight the important role played by TAs in supporting teachers and students UNISON is hoping the campaign will help them recruit reps and activists amongst an often hard to reach layer of their membership.
One of the things we are asking teachers to do through the @teacherROAR twitter account is to write a short appreciation of TAs in their school either in general or about a particular TA.
If you are in a position to do this please can you give it some thought and also circulate this request to other teachers in your school or local area who might write something.
