Wednesday 20 November
11am – 1.30pm. Leafleting against the privatisation of the student loan book. Called by The Student Assembly Against Austerity. More info on Facebook. Meet at South Bank University in Keyworth Street, behind the London Road Building.
1pm onwards. Crown Post Office staff on strike from Lunchtime onwards over a pay freeze, plans to close and/or franchise 75 offices and cut up to 1,500 jobs. Offices in Rye Lane SE15 and Lordship Lane SE22 closed. Please visit beforehand and express your support!
5.30pm – 7pm. Protest Lobby of Lambeth Council meeting: Save Brixton from Property Developers. Save Lambeth College in Brixton, No Bedroom Tax Evictions. At Lambeth Town Hall SW2. More details at http://lambethsaveourservices.org/
6.00pm. Southwark Save Our Services organising meeting – A speaker from ‘Save London’s Fire Stations 10’ campaign will introduce discussion on how to stop closure of Southwark Fire Station, planned for January. 11.30am ‘Bring Down the Big Six: Fuel Poverty Kills’ protest against fuel poverty deaths. Called by Fuel Poverty Action, UK Uncut, the Greater London Pensioners’ Association and Disabled People Against Cuts.
